Hill McGlynn & Associates, a recruitment organisation based in Southampton, were short listed for the final of the National Investors in People Awards 2000.
On 14th December, Investors in People UK commended the nominated organisations at the Awards ceremony in the Landmark Hotel in London. Thirty five finalists were selected from over 200 entries and Hill McGlynn & Associates attended the presentation of the Outstanding Investors in People Organisation Award ( 50 - 199 employee category ) for which they were short listed.
Working together with Hampshire Training & Enterprise Council ( TEC ), Hill McGlynn & Associates achieved the Investors in People Standard in 1995 and used the Standard to take the company through an extreme growth period. Judges were impressed with the use of assessment and development centres and their "FILE Reality Branch."
Mark Bull, Operations Director, Hill McGlynn & Associates, said: "We are delighted to have been short listed for a National Investors in People Award. It goes without saying that the recruitment business is all about people and Investors in People has been an extremely useful framework over the last 5 years. Not only has it helped us improve our bottom line but also it has made sure we keep on top of developing our people - the only asset in our business."
Ruth Spellman, Chief Executive of Investors in People UK commented: "The National Investors in People Awards celebrate the organisations that are excelling in the use of the Investors in People Standard. We are delighted with the quality of entries from the wide diversity of organisations - they have clearly recognised the importance of their people in achieving business success.
I wish every organisation the best of luck in the awards and offer my congratulations to them all in reaching the finals."
