Hill McGlynn Open 24 Hours

From Autumn 2001, Hill McGlynn will now be open to candidates and clients 24 hours a day due to the opening of Hill McGlynns new office in Melbourne, Australia.

The opening of the Melbourne office has arisen from the demand of both candidates and clients with the subsequent growth in the construction industry both nationally and internationally.

The office will be managed by Associate Director Owen Goodhead and also Chris Bell who will be moving from the position of International Manager in Southampton. They will ensure that the same professional and quality standards as established in the UK Operations will be maintained in the new venture. Owen has been with Hill McGlynn for seven years and has been the Area Manager for the London office. Chris has also been with Hill McGlynn for seven years and whilst International Manager has concentrated on the Far East and Australasian market.

The Australian operation will concentrate on supplying technical and professional candidates to the Australian construction industry whilst also facilitating opportunities for UK candidates wishing to work in Australasian and alternatively Australian candidates wishing to work in the UK. The Hill McGlynn Operation in the UK and Australia will be working closely together on joint projects and apply direct regional knowledge to ensure that the right candidates are found for the right positions.

Owen Goodhead said of the opening of the Australian office:

"I have been working on the concept of the Australian office for Hill McGlynn for sometime now and together with the Board of Directors we believe that the demand is there and the time is right for us to open our first international-based office.

Due to the size of Australia and the surrounding markets, the Internet will play a major role in communication for our business and this will help refocus our business on the Asia Pacific Market from a new location, which Chris has fundamentally been working on for the past seven years."
