2005 will see one of the UKs leading Construction Recruitment Organisations, Hill
McGlynn, change its operational management after 30 successful years of trading.
Managing Director and founder of Hill McGlynn, Stephen Hill, will move away from
the day to day running of Hill McGlynn and take on the new role as Executive Chairman.
Stephen will run the Boards of both the UK and Australian businesses and in addition
will work with the Board on the strategic direction of the Group and future acquisitions.
Stepping up into the Managing Directors role will be Group Operations Director,
Steven Ware and National Operations Director, Mark Bull who will take on Joint Managing
Director responsibilities.
Steven Ware has worked with Stephen Hill for over 20 years, establishing the companys
reputation on service and professionalism and Steven has been instrumental in helping
move the company forward over the years to become an international organisation.
Mark Bull joined Hill McGlynn in 1992 as a Recruitment Consultant before working
his way up to Director level. Mark is also currently Managing Director of Hill McGlynn
Trades, the Trades & Labour arm of the group.
Also joining the Board of Hill McGlynn group will be London Regional Director, Jasmit
Kalra; and Northern Regional Director, Mike Bower. Both Jasmit and Mike have worked
for Hill McGlynn for 10 years, originally as trainees and working their way up through
the company. Commenting on the Management changeover, Stephen Hill said:
"I founded Hill McGlynn in 1976 and over the years I have seen huge growth in the
company. After steering the ship for nearly 30 years on a daily basis; I feel that
it is the right time to hand over the operational reins to Steven and Mark. These
changes will give continuity to the strong dynamic management team for sustained
success ensuring that Hill McGlynn continues to grow and lead the way in the construction
recruitment market. I myself want to use my knowledge and experience gained over
32 years in recruitment to focus on the strategic direction of the group both in
the UK and overseas as well as for the betterment of the management team and to
enjoy more time outside of work."
The management changeover will be effective from 1st May 2005.
