SIMPLY THE BEST
Hill McGlynn, the industry’s leading construction staffing specialist, has been
awarded the highest accolade possible - Three Stars - in the ‘Best Companies’ 2008
Accreditation.
Only 42 companies in the UK have achieved Three Star rating. Classified as demonstrating
‘exceptional’ engagement between an employer and its workforce, the Accreditation
follows hard on the heels of Hill McGlynn’s 12th placing in the Sunday Times 2007
league table of ‘Top 100 Companies to Work For’.
The ‘Best Companies’ Accreditation takes into account workplace performance and
best practice according to eight key factors such as leadership, personal growth,
teamwork and many more. Considered particularly rigorous in its methodology and
voted for by a company’s own employees the process deals with all the crucial elements
of employee engagement.
Jason Silk Human Resources Director at Hill McGlynn comments on the company’s success
and the value of best practice recognition:
"As an ambitious and fast-growing business - employee well-being and company culture
is an incredibly important part of driving the business forward in this period of
exceptional growth. We are therefore delighted both our employees AND ‘Best Companies’
have recognised the level of commitment we have shown. It is a testament to everyone’s
hard work that we have created and maintained an environment we can all we be proud
of and somewhere people WANT to work."
Silk continued: "Accreditation has had a significant impact on the company especially
from a recruitment perspective and with this comes fresh enthusiasm for the business.
‘Best Companies’ is undoubtedly recognised by job seekers, who clearly place a value
in its rating. For example, in the current candidate driven market where agencies
are competing strongly for resource, we are seeing more and more job-seekers turn
to us as their first employer of choice – making contact with our HR team and asking
to be kept on file until a suitable position comes into the frame."
